Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
Trauma has a way of getting stuck in the body and mind, showing up in ways that can feel confusing, intense, or hard to manage. EMDR therapy offers a structured, effective way to help you process these experiences—without needing to talk through every detail.
At Mind and Body Therapy GA, EMDR is used in a safe, supportive environment and always at your pace. Using bilateral stimulation (often in the form of eye movements, tapping, or sound), we help your brain access and reprocess distressing memories so they lose their emotional charge and feel more resolved.
This approach is evidence-based and widely used to treat PTSD, anxiety, phobias, grief, and the lingering effects of past experiences. Many clients report feeling lighter, clearer, and more at peace—sometimes after just a few sessions.
EMDR can be integrated with other therapies, including somatic and mindfulness-based practices, to support deep, lasting healing. If you’ve tried talk therapy and still feel stuck, EMDR might be the shift you’ve been looking for.
